Lew Grobe\, OSB - St. John's Abbey Woodworking and Organ Shop\n\n \n\n About the Tour: \n\nSaint John's Abbey Woodworking\n\nFor over 150 years\, Saint John's Abbey Woodworking has crafted furniture in much the same way. Utilizing wood from our own forest and traditional woodworking techniques\, generations of monks and local craftsmen have designed and created custom furniture that is distinct and made to last. Today our shop seeks to honor this legacy by giving witness to the value of manual labor\, stewardship and the perpetuation of craft in the 21st century.\n\n\n\n\n\n*Parking/Directions:\n\nPlease park in lots P8\, 9 and 10 near the Abbey Church (avoid any reserved parking spots.) Overflow parking in lots P7 and P17.\n\nOur meeting is in Quad 264 (#1 on the map.)\n\nYou will enter the building through the Great Hall (see photo.)\n\n \n\nGo through both sets of double doors into the Great Hall.\n\nTurn left to the hallway and take the first right.\n\nThere are stairs at the end of this hallway. Take those up one flight to Quad 264 (first door on the right). There is also an elevator - go through the doors by the staircase\, turn right and the elevator is on the left.\n\n\n\nWe will tour the Woodworking Shop (#26 on the map.)
