It was founded in 1982 by the Bayer family and remains family owned today.  Bayer Built Woodworks is a two-step distributor of millwork\, selling exclusively to building product retailers.  Their product offering includes pre-hung doors\, mouldings\, and deck railing\, as well as pre-finish service and capabilites.  In 2004\, they branded the Acclimated Entry Systems line of exterior doors.  These doors are designed to withstand the rigors and unpredictability of the Midwest climate.
