Chris DeVries\, Community Development Director\, will give an overview of Wahpeton and its Community Development program\, and will talk about the city?s efforts in workforce development.\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Chris Devries\, Wahpeton EDA\n\n \n\nAbout the Speaker: \n\nChris DeVries is Wahpeton?s Community Development Director and oversees the city?s marketing\, promotions\, and development incentive programs.\n\n \n\nDeVries is a native of Wahpeton and was a member of the Wahpeton City Council for 10 years before his appointment as Community Development Director. He previously served as Communications Specialist for a local farmers co-op for 10 years\, and worked for advertising and marketing firms in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. He?s served on the board of directors for the Wahpeton-Breckenridge Area Chamber of Commerce\, the Richland-Wilkin United Way\, and the Leach Public Library.\n\n \n\nDeVries has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Minnesota State University\, Moorhead. He lives in Wahpeton with his wife\, Becky\, and their three children. In his spare time he enjoys writing fiction and watching movies.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n    \n\n\n\nAbout the Tour: \n\nAt ComDel Innovation\, the entire process from product concept to manufacturing is under one roof. With a state-of-the-art precision machining and fabrication center\, ComDel Innovation's operation is staffed with a team of experienced tool makers and machinists to build and maintain a wide range of injection molds\, stamping dies\, coating dies\, coating rolls\, and precision equipment components.   This operation also supports rapid tooling builds for quick turn product development.   In addition to the precision machining and fabrication center\, ComDel Innovation has a production machining operation which leverages machining centers with up to five axis machining capability.  \n\n \n\nDepending on the customer needs\, ComDel Innovation provides low volume to high volume injection molding of components in presses ranging from 16 ton to 500 ton capacity.  Press configurations include both vertical and horizontal machines and both electric and hydraulic clamping & injection systems. The metal stamping operations range from thin stock detailed parts to rigid stock with integrated machining operations.\n\n\n\nComDel Innovation has extensive experience in building and maintaining automation systems which is evident when touring the production facility.   \n\n \n\nIn addition there will be a tour of adjoining Heartland Precision\, a thread rolling\, forming\, and precision machining facility that  focuses on material in the  #10 to 1 inch diameter range.\n\n\n\n*Please wear closed toe shoes for the tour\n\n\n\nComDel Innovations is the building next to Bobcat
