\n \; | \n \n \n \n | \n \n \n \n | \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About\n Twice a year\, the Minnesota State Engineering Center of Excellence collaborates
\n with the Minnesota State Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence to offer
\n a free seminar and networking opportunity called the
\n Engineering and Manufacturing Workforce Partnership Seminar.
\n The purpose of this program is to provide thought leadership for workforce stakeholders
\n and is a forum to network\, collaborate\, and learn about innovative workforce solutions.
\n
\n In February 2020 at Hennepin Technical College\, secondary and post-secondary educators\,
\n state employees and industry members came together in a collaborative forum to share
\n information about academic programs\, strategic hiring tools\, and an &ldquo\;employment toolbox&rdquo\;
\n resource related to engineering and engineering technology. \; Additionally\, attendees
\n shared the importance of supporting career awareness programming\, especially needed for grades 5-8.
\n \;
\n What participants said they liked most about this program:\n\n \n - Bridged gaps between industry\, education\, and workforce
\n - Connected the dots of engineering and engineering technology learning through real-world applications.
\n - I gained one or more specific ideas that I can implement in my area of practice.
\n - I always find something to take away from the event\, new information on available programs\, grant dollars\, or other mechanisms of funding resources.
\n - Interesting to connect with and get to know other attendees.
\n - Informality and information shared.
